VIC: A 16 year old boy hit by car in Melbourne s east

A 16-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital with severe head injuries after
being hit by a car in Melbourne's east yesterday.

The boy was hit while trying to cross the intersection of Harp Road and Station Street in
Kew East at 7.15 pm.

Police say the exact cause of the accident is still being investigated and they're
interviewing the 23-year-old woman from Kew who was driving the car west along Harp Road.

The boy, also from Kew, is in Box Hill Hospital.
