There are no figures they care to give out, the company's owner being "a very private person - he doesn't give out too much information," but assistant treasurer Jean Hubbard will tell you this much: "Cows keep going down and Bag Balm sales keep going up."

"We keep a can of it here and use it all the time," says Gary Vanderhorst, owner of Cottage Agway on Troy-Schenectady Road, West Latham, where bare-handed employees are in and out of the cold loading heavy sacks into customers' cars.
