Qld: Search continues for boy

Police have intensified a search for a 13-year-old boy missing on the Sunshine Coast
for three days.

DANIEL JAMES MORCOMBE was last seen at his Palmwoods home about 1.30 pm (AEST) on Sunday,
just before he went to catch a bus to Maroochydore for a haircut.

Fifty SES volunteers, police divers and detectives will step up the search today, and
a major incident room has been set up at Maroochydore to coordinate Operation Vista.

North Coast police say the scheduled bus between Nambour and Maroochydore had broken down.

They say the boy tried to flag down a replacement bus, but it drove by because the
driver was running late.

The driver radioed back for a following bus to pick up remaining passengers.

When the next bus arrived there was no-one at the stop.
