QLD: Coroner to investigate missing US diver case

BRISBANE, Jan 15 AAP - A coroner will investigate the disappearance of Ursula Clutton,
the 80-year-old US tourist who hasn't been seen since she went snorkelling on the Great
Barrier Reef last Tuesday.

Speaking in Cairns, Chief Superintendent Dick Conder said police were preparing an extensive
report for the coroner.

"This is normal practice when people disappear in circumstances like this," he said.

The air and sea search for the Californian grandmother was called off yesterday with
no trace of her being found.
