Until recently, the board of directors at Salisbury Bancorp in Lakeville, Connecticut-a rural hamlet tucked away in the Berkshire Mountains-included two practicing attorneys, a retired managing director from Citigroup, a bookseller, an insurance agent, a gentleman farmer, and a veterinarian.
